The Wintons Band To Perform at
the 2010 Conference!

The 2010 Economics Conference is excited to have a nationally recognized father and son bluegrass band The Wintons performing throughout the conference weekend. The Wintons are a father/son team that have delighted audiences around the country with great bluegrass music.

The Winton boys, Cody and Jesse, have distinguished themselves as accomplished musicians on the fiddle, mandolin, banjo, and Dobro guitar. Cody and Jesse write some of their own songs, two of which are featured on the Winton's debut album, This World is Not My Home. The Wintons live in beautiful northern California where they homeschool their sons, are raising their little adopted daughters, and are currently operating a family-owned landscaping business.

Read more about the Wintons on their website, or listen to a full sampling of their songs on BlueBehemoth.com.

More on the Wintons . . .

What began as an interest in bluegrass music and a desire to take fiddle lessons in the summer of 2006 grew unexpectedly by the hand of the Lord into a family music ministry. The Winton boys quickly added mandolin, banjo, Dobro, and flat-picking on guitar to their instrumental repertoire, and in early 2009 captured 1st and 3rd in the California State Picking Championships on mandolin (Jesse) and banjo (Cody).

The Wintons began singing and playing together at home for fun, learning to harmonize and become strong instrumentally, and they now perform a mix of gospel and traditional bluegrass music at venues throughout California. They have recently played with and opened for such renowned bluegrass gospel groups as The Kenny and Amanda Smith Band, Newfound Road, and IIIrd Tyme Out. Cody and Jesse write some of their own songs, two of which are featured on the Winton's debut CD, This World is Not My Home.
